This will be my first blog post on the compostproms.com website. It will be created, naturally, using the ComPost app. In this first post, I would like to explain in my own words what this app was created for.
I have been observing the development of technologies, especially in the IT sector. One can conclude that any given technology experienced explosive growth in all areas—both technical and economic—when that technology became truly mass-market. As long as the internet was a haven for geeks who knew how to configure a network card, connect to a remote server, and so on, the IT sector was the domain of tens of thousands of people. As soon as it became accessible to millions (billions), various solutions and technical opportunities emerged to apply it in economics, communications, technology, and many other fields.
I inextricably link the growth and development of technologies with the mass scale of their usage. I think this pattern is inherent to any technology. But right now, we are discussing IT. The emergence of artificial intelligence and large language models at the moment resembles that very nascent internet of the 80s. A vanishingly small number of people use artificial intelligence on a regular basis. And the creators of all this technology are not striving to diversify the ways ordinary people can use artificial intelligence.
People who are familiar with IT, with programming, with the basics, understand how it works and actually use it. But there are also few such people in the general population. This prevents the technology from developing and attracting new people, and with new people will come new money, new ways of earning, and so on. The technology does not allow for it, as there is too high a barrier to entry specifically for this technology. High from the standpoint of technical knowledge. That is, you have to understand the subject quite seriously to truly use artificial intelligence beneficially for yourself.
ComPost is my attempt to provide another, alternative way of using artificial intelligence. This method might not suit everyone, but it will suit those people who spend some time learning it. In ComPost, I have simplified both the interface and the user flow to the greatest extent possible in order to deliver accurate results. This technology will indeed require a certain amount of time to learn, but this time is measured in minutes, tens of minutes, and not in hours and days, like, for example, mastering Photoshop.
This is what I created ComPost for—to do my part in attracting as many people as possible to the use of artificial intelligence. Personally, I see a rather large potential for development in many areas within this technology.
