At ComPost, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data across the
ComPost Android app and compostprompts.com.

1. Overview

ComPost is a productivity ecosystem. The Android app transforms voice notes into structured output using AI and supports optional Google integrations.
The website (compostprompts.com) is an informational hub and prompt library.

2. Google User Data Policy (Limited Use)

Our app requests access to your Google account only to provide features you explicitly use. We follow the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

Google Sheets: used to write structured rows when you choose to export.
Google Tasks: used to create tasks when you choose to export.
Google Calendar: used to create/update events you initiate; the app may also read calendar events locally to detect scheduling conflicts before you confirm.

We do not:

Use Google data for advertising or profiling.
Sell Google user data.
Store your Google account password/credentials on our servers.</ li>

3. Audio and AI Processing

Temporary Cloud Upload: To transcribe speech, audio is uploaded to temporary cloud storage in AWS (Amazon S3) using a time-limited upload URL.
Transcription Provider: Audio is currently transcribed via OpenAI Whisper API.
Processing: Transcribed text is processed by AI to generate the output you request.
Retention Note: We delete temporary server files created during processing. Audio uploaded to cloud object storage is retained only for operational processing and cleanup workflows, and is not intended for long-term archival.
No Model Training by Us: We do not use your audio or text to train our own models without your explicit consent.

4. Analytics and Usage Data

ComPost uses Firebase Analytics for product reliability and performance monitoring.

Analytics can be managed in-app (Profile → Analytics).
Events may include app interactions, technical diagnostics, device/OS info, and performance metrics.
We do not intentionally send voice recordings, raw transcript content, Google document content, or personal files as analytics event payloads.
Analytics data is not used for advertising or profiling.

5. Website Data (Cookies & Comments)

When you use compostprompts.com:

Comments: If you leave a comment, we collect form data and related metadata (such as IP address) for spam/security moderation.
Cookies: We use cookies for login/session behavior and site preferences.
Embedded Content: Pages may include embedded third-party content (e.g., YouTube) which may collect data under those providers’ policies.

6. Data Retention

Website comments may be retained until deleted by site administrators.
Account/usage data (for example limits, token/seconds usage, and subscription state) is retained as needed to operate billing, limits, support, and compliance.

7. Your Rights and Controls

You can revoke ComPost’s Google access anytime via Google Security Settings.
You may request deletion of personal data we control by contacting us.
